Every agent is powered by something you already use — a provider API key, an MCP server, or your own endpoint. Follow the steps below and test the connection before you save.

Straight answer about account links and chat history: for services like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini there is no official, secure way for a third-party app to sign in to your account or import your existing chat history. Agent Link doesn't fake that — it connects through each provider's API key instead, and only adds chat import/sync where an official secure API or export path actually permits it. Your provider chats and your Agent Link chats stay separate.

Connection methods

API key

Paste a key from the AI provider. Agent Link talks to the provider's official API directly — the key never leaves your device.

1Open the provider's site and create an API key.
2Copy the full key.
3In Agent Link, tap Add agent → Connection → API key and paste it.
4Pick the model, then tap Test connection.

Best for: most people — the fastest reliable way to connect any provider.

MCP server

Point Agent Link at a Model Context Protocol server. Chat is sent to the server's chat tool.

1Get your agent's MCP server URL.
2Tap Add agent → Connection → MCP server.
3Paste the server URL, and the bearer token if required.
4Leave the tool name as "chat" unless the server uses a different name.

Best for: agents exposed as MCP tools, and self-hosted setups you control.

Demo

No connection needed. Replies are simulated so you can explore the app.

3Switch to a real provider whenever you're ready.

Best for: trying the app before you have a key or endpoint.

Providers

Anthropic (Claude) — API key from console.anthropic.com.

OpenAI (ChatGPT/GPT) — API key from platform.openai.com.

Google (Gemini) — API key from aistudio.google.com.

xAI Grok — API key from console.x.ai.

Meta (Llama) — API key + base URL.

Mistral — API key from console.mistral.ai.

OpenClaw — any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (OpenRouter, Together, Ollama, …).

Hermes — a custom OpenAI-compatible gateway.

Custom HTTP — your own endpoint.

Local / self-hosted — Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp, vLLM via the OpenClaw path.

Atomic Agent (and Sama) — via the OpenClaw path while they're on the roadmap.

Keys and tokens are stored on your device and are only used to call the provider or server you choose. Agent Link never sends them anywhere else.
